Nigel Parmelee

9/16/1949 – 10/5/2025

Born in Penn Yan, NY to the late Clarence and Dorothy Parmelee, Nigel was a dedicated craftsmen of more than 4 decades most of which he spent self-employed as Build-R in the Penn Yan area.

He is predeceased by his parents Clarence and Dorothy Parmelee, a sister Deborah Getman and brother-in-law Dan Nelson.  He is survived by his wife Amy Parmelee, children Jameson (Lindsay) Marshall and Andy Marshall, grandson William Marshall, fur grandchildren Mallard and Diesel, his niece Sara Getman and her family, and sister Sheila Nelson and her family.

Nigel was incredibly proud of his brief service in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam era and was a 40 year member of American Legion Johnson-Costello Post 355.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.  Instead, hug a loved one, spend some time in the outdoors or lift a beer to his memory.
