Joan E. Rogers
Gifted to us on July 23, 1937 went home on March 12, 2023.
Joan was born in Sayre, PA to Walter and
Hazel Wilcox. She was met at the gates of Heaven by her parents, her sister Jessie Ann Zettlemoyer, her grandson Jonathan Rogers, great-grandson Aiden Mike, her lifetime friend and father to her children, Verne Rogers, along with many other cherished family and friends.
She leaves behind her children Verna Cowley, Jo Cornish, and Kenny (Kathy) Rogers, grandchildren Ragan (Ron) Stevens, Adam (Annamarie) Cowley, Kara (Keith) Rogers, Devan (Whitney) Cornish, great-grandchildren Briana, Rahn, Carly, Carter, Cayden, Kane, Abree, and Matty, and great-great-grandchildren Keri, Karsen, Koree, and Omir.
Joan will be fondly remembered for her homemade Macaroni and cheese that she so loved to make for everyone, her love of the New York Yankees, and her incredible donation of over 1000 knitted hats for premies and kids of all ages. Over the years she researched our family’s genealogy all the way back to the 1600’s. She loved reminiscing and telling old stories while teaching the younger generations about their heritage. Joan’s faith was strong and the only love she had that shone brighter was for her family. We will all miss her soft touch and shear stubbornness!
In lieu of flowers, please donate your gifts of time or finance to a charity of your choice, in her name.
Calling hours will be held Saturday March 18th 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Jarmusz Cotton Funeral Home (26 Maple Ave. Victor, NY). Interment Boughton Hill Cemetery.

Joanie’s legacy is beautiful. She contributed so much to so many people from her heart. I am so grateful for her genealogy work for the family.
Sending my love to Jo Lynn and Verna and all the cousins. ❤️
She will forever be missed by all of us at Country Bible Baptist church. She said it was a blessing that she found our church and I Thank God she did. She was a Prayer warrior she prayed for my sister for over 2 years and I never got to tell her the Lord answered her Prayers. But I know she knows now. I will forever miss her sweet hugs and her beautiful smile. ❤️
Jo and Devan,
Thinking of you as you say good bye to someone so very special in your lives. May she rest in peace.
