Joan Carbone Silco was born April 11th, 1931 the seventh child of Vincenzo and Antoinette Carbone and passed away on April 8th, 2023 at Rochester General Hospital. She grew up and attended school in Charlotte. After graduating she started work at Eastman Kodak where she met Richard Silco. Joan and Richard married in 1953 and thereafter she was a housewife and eventual mother to five children. She raised her family in Webster and Sodus NY, then lived 10 years in New Mexico working as a manager of a school cafeteria, then returning to live in Walworth, NY. She is survived by her husband Richard and son’s Gary, Robert (Donna), Eric and Tom (Dori). Grandchildren Michele, Mathew, Adam (Morgan), Nicholas (Riley), Samuel, Christian (Morgan), Gabrielle, Emily (Jamie), Aaron (Anna) and Quinn. Six Great Grandchildren Rory, Alex, Avery, Miles, Silas and Aidan. She is survived by her brother Michael, sisters-in-law Molly and Ida and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Catherine and granddaughter Petra and siblings Mary, Anthony, Carmela, Umberto and twin Joseph.
Join us in remembering mom on Tuesday April 18th from 4 to 8pm. We are gathering at Ellison Park in the Pavillion Lodge. The lodge is located off Blossom Rd and is on Ellison Park Rd. It is North of Blossom. Turn North on Ellison Park Rd. go to the end, turn left and we are the last lodge.
