Bradley Phillips, 69, of Mendon, NY passed away peacefully in his home on May 9th, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Brad was born on June 13th, 1956 to Ronald and Joan Phillips (Pittsford, NY). He grew up in a neighborhood within Powder Mill Park, where his lifelong love of nature began. In his later years, he often brought his children and grandchildren back to the park to share in his joy of the outdoors.
A Syracuse University undergrad, Brad moved on to earn his masters degree from The Rochester Institute of Technology in Mechanical Engineering. He had a successful career at Eastman Kodak and spent his later years in a blissful state of retirement.
Brad enjoyed spending time in his cherished home in the woods. He filled this home with the things he loved most – music, books, and family. Being a passionate musician, you would find him, more often than not, playing his guitar. An avid reader and writer, he was always learning, contemplating, and trying to understand the world around him. Brad loved using his hands to create, and found joy through various building projects for both his home and for his daughters.
A devoted father and grandfather, Brad was always showing up for those he loved. His daughters will remember him as a loving dad; encouraging, charismatic, and a deep thinker. His five grandsons will remember him as their biggest fan; never missing a game, performance, or celebration, always saying yes to a board game, and hosting the best sleepovers.
He will be greatly missed by us all.
He is survived by his three daughters, Katelyn (Thomas McNamee) Phillips, Megan (Seth) Wile and Molly (Harout) Babigian; five grandsons, Melkon Babigian, Ahren Babigian, Cole McNamee, Everett McNamee, and Emrys Babigian; devoted siblings Leesa (Greg) Coutant and Todd (Kristi) Phillips; loving nieces; and several cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Serenity House of Victor or your charity of choice.
I never had the honor of meeting your dad, but am grateful for all the wonderful stories I heard about him from his adoring neighbors! You are all in our hearts during this time of memories and celebrating a life well lived.
