William V. Porter
Farmington, NY
Bill passed away on February 21, 2026 at the age of 75. He left a hole in our hearts three days before his 52nd wedding anniversary to his cherished wife, Karen. Along with his wife, Bill is survived by his three sons: Michael, Christopher (Mary), Ryan (Amanda), his precious grandchildren Emerson, Asher, and Levi, and his sister Sandra Porter, all of which he greatly treasured.
Bill lived a life of love, joy, and sacrifice toward everyone he knew, and even to those he didn’t. For 43 years he took his family to the Adirondacks for vacation, making priceless memories to hold in their hearts forever. He was a source of wisdom, knowledge, and encouragement. He was a beautiful example of a life well lived, leaving a rich legacy for family and friends, who will miss him dearly. All were precious in his sight.
To honor Bill, be like him – selfless, tough on the outside and mushy on the inside. Love, trust God, be kind, never complain, and choose to be happy everyday, as he did. Oh… and learn to play Euchre, at which he was a pro!
In memory of Bill, spend time with your family, trust in what’s important to you in life, and live one day at a time as if it was your last.
Donations may be made to the American Heart Association or charity of your choice.
May the Lord Bless You.
