Kenneth Howard Tay
Age 78 years old
October 13, 1946 – August 13, 2025
Predeceased by his parents Howard W. and Ruth E. (Brake), siblings William, Roger (Eileen) and Diana Jean Tucker. Kenn is survived by his children Jennifer (Alex) and Michael (Christine), 8 grandchildren, Austin Petrosino, Michael and Samantha, Valerie Jopek, Aidan, Jasper, Lucy, and Penny, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by the mother of his children, E. Sue Mills, and very special friend BJ Krisatis.
Kenn served and was honorably discharged from service in the United States Army in the Vietnam War.
Upon return from overseas he was content to stay in the immediate area unless it was to indulge in one of his favorite pastimes – gambling with BJ. The farthest he would occasionally roam would be Seneca Niagara or Turning Stone.
For many years he was an avid bowler, played softball in a league, and golfed frequently at Victor Hills before his health began to decline. He always took great pride I his lawn and landscape work. Once a job, his love of motors and cars led to a lifelong love of working on anything with a motor.
Kenn worked for what was originally Mobil Chemical in Macedon, as a Press Operator, until he retired in 2012.
Kenn was an avid Bills fan – New York Yankees, wrestling, and WNBA, and really any sport. He was a simple man who appreciated the love and care of those he surrounded himself with. Their happiness truly was his.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the UR Medicine Home Care Foundation at [https://urmc.rochester.edu/home-care/giving] in his name.
A future celebration of life is being planned for friends and family, a private burial will be held at a future date at the Bath National Cemetery with military honors.
