Douglas Welles Shaffer November 13, 1933 – December 31, 2023

Survived by his wife of 70 years, Beverly Francis Hill, his 4 children, Karen Miller, Douglas (Bonnie), Craig (Bette) and Christine Roling (Bert) along with 8 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Doug retired from Xerox after 30 years to pursue sailing, skiing and travel.

His love of animals led him to donate his time to Seneca Park Zoo where he had the chance to interact with the animals.  He especially loved the elephants.He found great comfort in dogs and kept one by his side at all times.

There will be no formal Memorial Service, but contributions may be made in his honor to Lollypop Farm or Seneca Park Zoo.
