On Sunday, October 3rd, 2021, Richard Gurnell, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away at the age of 60. Richard was preceded in death by both parents, Richard and Florence, his brother Thomas, and his nephew Gerald. He is survived by his wife Donna, his son, Kyle, his two grandchildren, Natalie and Kyler, his sister Theressa, his many nephews and nieces, and many great-nieces and nephews.
Rich was born on July 20th, 1961 in Brooklyn, NY. He was married for 33 years to his loving wife, Donna. They had one son, Kyle. Rich was a contractor until he lost the ability to work. Rich was the most friendliest, giving, and humorous person you would ever meet. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Rich was very family oriented and spent a lot of time with his last living sibling, Theressa and his nephews. Fishing and hunting was one of his passions that he enjoyed with his nephews, Justin, Brendon, and Todd. He was great with all the children in the family and all of them loved him. Rich was a realist that always saw the best in everything. Even being in all the pain he was in, he enjoyed life to the fullest. He was very persistent and a hard worker no matter how he felt.
Calling will be held Friday October 8th from 4-7p.m. at the Jarmusz Cotton Funeral Home (26 Maple Ave. Victor, NY). A Funeral Service for Richard will be held Saturday October 9th 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery (Canandaigua,NY).
