Irene M Campbell, 90 of Dresden, NY passed on May 22, 2021 surrounded by her family at home.

Born December 2, 1930 she was predeceased by Bernie, her husband of 48 years A stay at home mom, she was also a fixture at Coyne’s Ranch House in Himrod where she worked along with Bernie for many years.

Growing up in Philadelphia, she was raised with 12 siblings and as you can imagine they were a busy bunch.  She loved playing pinocle with her brothers and sisters, and the faint of heart would not make it with their exuberant games. You could just feel the love.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a recent great-great grandmother, and many others that loved her affectionately as Snookie.  Her home was always welcoming, many generations have spent their time with her.  She was loved by  many. When you walk in the door she insisted on feeding you, didn’t matter that you have already eaten.

Irene was known for her vibrant and creative personality. Always family oriented but enjoyed entertaining- not afraid to tackle a project.  She would spend weeks building a Haunted Barn for Halloween, people would come from all around the county to enjoy.  Loved playing the guitar and singing with the kids or making a band with her sisters complete with costumes, gardening and games.  She wanted it to be fun and loud and memorable.  Pinatas and “fake Cakes” were expected and she never disappointed.  Our family was truly blessed with her enthusiasm. How many Grandmothers that you know taught you how to play Nintnendo or would take you on a snake hunt, scavenger hunt, giant Easter egg hunt or an exciting auction?

She is predeceased by her loving husband Bernard, parents Charles and Ester Stein, and sisters, Evelyn Furlong, Bernice Collins, Lorraine Wilson, Christine Donhouser, and brothers Paul Stein, Mickey Stein, Richard Stein, Peter Stein and Charles Stein. Survived by her sisters Marie Kebedeaux (New Orleans) Marcella Harris (Gafney) and brother William Stein( Philly)

Her children Lorraine (Steve)VanDyke, Victor, Bernard (Bonnie) Campbell Winston-Salem, Don Campbell Penn Yan, Patrick (Denise) Canandaigua and Sharon (Theodore) Ginther of Dresden.

Grandchildren: Sarah (Matthew) Dwyer, Michael (Amy) VanDyke, Brian (Joanna) VanDyke, James Campbell, Krin Vrendenburg, Kiley Campbell, Lindsey (Chad) Pierce, Tyler Byington, and Chanel Miezala.
