Passed away on December 29, 2020 at age 86. She was predeceased by her husband Leslie. Joan is survived by her children Sherry(Homer) Cunningham of FL, Bill Strong of Rochester, Scott(Margaret) Strong of Honeoye, Cindy Root of Fairport, Kevin(Donna) Strong of Palmyra, Linda(Michael) Gagnon of Macedon and Michele(Barry) Wiedrick of Palmyra; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, special granddaughter Andrea(Dennis) Gilmore nieces and nephews. Joan loved bingo and working in her Candy Corner and Fudge Square store. She was a member of the Palmyra Moose Lodge.
Interment Farmington Friends Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Historic Palmyra (132 Market St. Palmyra, NY 14522) in her memory.
Andrea, I’m so sorry for the loss of Grandma. I know how much you all loved her. The care you took and the wonderful times you gave her were beautiful. I hope you find joy in those memories and peace knowing you and Dennis and the kids filled her life with happiness. Wishing you peace!

So sorry for your family, I talked to Joan a lot and used to stop in and buy e everyone candy and gum, she had such a assortment of stuff, it was a fun place e to go. She was a very nice lady, may god be with you at this sorrowful time
