Mary Beth “Mimi” Nielsen, born January 26th, 1972, passed away September 8th, 2020 in Rochester, aged 48. She was predeceased by her husband, Scott James Nielsen, passed June 12, 2001. She is survived by her five children Katie, Josh, Sydney, Eric, and Anna; her parents Sunni and Donna Tubiolo; her sisters Carry, Lori, Sunni Rebecca and Rob Fedele; and her brother Toby.

While Mimi was most often defined by her role as a mother, the title doesn’t do her justice. Her heart warmed the coldest nights, and her caring shined during the hardest of times. She was a beautiful mixture of big ideas and small kindnesses, always planning for better days. Her family will feel the absence of her for years to come, but she has taught us, through her grace and strength, to persevere and to fill that absence with the love she held for all of us. The world has lost a certain softness; a certain beauty held in a young mother’s early-morning curls.
