Marlene J. O’Keefe

Marlene O’Keefe passed away peacefully on May 27th, 2026, surrounded by family and friends. Born to the late Harriet Wells and Marvin Wells, Marlene was also preceded in death by her brother Larry Wells, her sister Susan Wells, and her stepfather Edward Wyse. Marlene shared 42 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband James O’Keefe, before his passing in 2005.

She is survived by her son Dennis O’Keefe (Kim), Debbie Kimball (Herb); her grandchildren Alyssa Kimball (Kyle), Niki Swackhamer (Ed); her sister Donna Turner (Phil Sperandio); her significant other Fred Kissinger; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Marlene was an active member of the Red Hat Club and served as a dedicated board member, helping organize and support numerous fundraising efforts. She enjoyed camping, crafting, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. Her kindness, generosity, and welcoming spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.

Marlene’s legacy of love, friendship, and devotion to her family will be remembered and treasured forever.

Calling hours will be Wednesday June 3rd from 4-7 p.m. at Jarmusz Cotton Funeral Home (26 Maple Ave. Victor, NY). A celebration of life service will be held Thursday June 4th 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
