Gail D Rodgers

Passed away on September 19, 2023 at age 56.
Gail Garrett Rodgers was the 1st born to Betty (housewife) and Bobby Garrett (steel mill worker) in Knoxville, TN and has a sister Angie and brother James. I met Gail after she and my son, Robert, became friends online through gaming. Eventually Rob moved to TN to be with her.  Gail had previously been married to John and they had 2 sons, John Jr and Nicholas.  Gail was very close with all her family of mom, dad, aunts and later grandchildren.  She would tell the stories of growing up and what it was like.  Gail worked as an office manager and staff at Moe’s Southwest Grill. They moved a few times and ended up in NY with Rob’s dad and me.
She had been a matron in Eastern Star in TN and an active parent in her boy’s band and sports fund raisers.  She yearned to go back to TN.  Cancer did run in her family and Gail was diagnosed in 2018.  Ever since she and her doctors have been fighting to give her more good years. She didn’t want to give up. Suddenly, it took her on Sept 19th.
We will miss and love her for the time we had with her.

Calling hours will be Monday September 25th from 3 – 5 p.m. at Jarmusz Cotton Funeral Home (26 Maple Ave. Victor, NY). Gail’s Funeral Service will be held Monday September 25th 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment Boughton Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Colony Caregivers (PO Box 12 Shortsville, NY 14548) or American Cancer Society or Victor Farmington Food Cupboard (6548 Anthony Dr. Victor, NY 14564) in her memory.
