Edward “Ed” Damaske, born in December 1924, passed away on September 12, 2022 at the age of 97. He’s survived by his wonderful wife, Marjorie, his daughters Marilyn (Ron) Hamm, Barb (Stan) Phillips, his grandchildren Ashley (Dan) Doyle, Jared (Crystal) Hamm, Justin (Rhi) Hamm, and Rainer (Kate) Hamm, along with his amazing great-grandchildren.
Ed worked the family farm in Victor with his brother, Elmer. He also drove bus and worked as a groundskeeper at Victor Central School, retiring from the school after many years of service.
Ed loved fishing, hunting, baseball, square dancing, motorcycles and music, often playing the accordion or records for his family.
He enjoyed contributing to his community. He was a regular blood donor, and briefly served on Victor’s Planning Board.
In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to your community to honor his memory. Local fire and ambulance services always need volunteers, or consider the Red Cross or Humane Society in your area.
Family and friends will gather at Jarmusz-Cotton Funeral home (26 Maple Avenue, Victor) on Sunday, September 18, from 2-4 p.m.
A private burial service will be held for the family at a later time.
So very sorry for your loss. Thinking of you all and prayers sent.
