wes, so sorry for you and your family. sue was a great lady. i know it will be hard without her. deb and ted
Great pictures of her, Wes. I first met Sur when she helped to arrange a furnished apartment for me when i was on a temporary assignment in the area. Her kindness to me while i was far from home made my job much more bearable. I looked forward to her personal hand written letters every Christmas that helped me stay in touch with them both. I got to visit Wes and Sue only a couple of times over the next decades but i always felt close to her. Her gentleness and kindness were always there. Sue was very special. I will surely miss her. May she rest in peace.
My sweet friend, Sue: quiet, caring, generous, well-spoken. Strong and brave. She and Wes were the ultimate in relationship goals. I will miss Sue’s smile and our 30+ year friendship. And I will always remember her fear of spiders and our mutual dismay at the damage done by visiting deer in our yards.
To Wes and the Gibson and Pittenger families, I send my deep sympathy for the loss of your beloved Sue. I hope that you find some peace in your happy memories.
I left a comment on Facebook but I will leave it here too because she deserves it. So it was a absolutely wonderful woman and I had the blessing of getting to work with her during student clinic and she was always such a great help to me throughout my years at NYCC. She will be missed by many. Blessing, thoughts of comfort and peace for your family.
I was so sad to see this message on Facebook today. She was a true beacon of light and inspiration to both my husband and myself while we were students at NYCC — and I imagine many others felt the same way. She always went the extra mile to help us, with a big smile on her face. We are sending everyone in Sue’s extended family our love as you grieve this incredible loss.
Sue was one of the sweetest, most genuine people I ever had the pleasure of knowing. She always had a smile on her face, even at the end of her tough battle. I will miss seeing her and that smile. Thoughts and prayers to her wonderful husband Wes and the rest of her family, Rest In Peace Sue
Sending my condolences to the family. Sue will be deeply missed by the NYCC community. She invested in all of us. We were so lucky to have her.
I was a student at NYCC when I met Sue. I spent many hours in the office where she worked and her generosity knew no limits. When I think of Sue, I remember to be kind, patient, and supportive. I’m very sad to hear of her passing, and would like to let her family know that she touched the lives of many people in an unforgettable way. She was an angel on earth long before she was called home.
Few people make an impact like Sue did during her life! All who knew her loved her down to earth manner. She will be sorely missed but she made the best of her shortened life and circumstances! Please accept my condolences and fell free to call if your family needs anything!
Sincere condolences, Wes. I so enjoyed our time in St. Augustine looking for winter rentals before the pandemic broke out. Sue was a kind, sweet person. You two had many wonderful years together. Treasure those memories. Love and prayers, Sue Mills
