MaryAnn Darling, age 71, of Bloomfield, NY, passed away peacefully at her home on May 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on September 21, 1953, in Rochester, NY, MaryAnn was the daughter of Marie and Dominic Marafioti. She grew up in the Rochester area, where she developed a deep appreciation for family and community.
On February 21, 1970, MaryAnn married Donald Darling, beginning a partnership that would span over five decades. Together, they raised four children: Lori Rider (John), Donald Darling (Kelly), Michael Darling (Sandra), and Shawn Darling. MaryAnn found immense joy in her role as a mother and later as a grandmother, cherishing the time spent with her eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
MaryAnn had a profound love for nature, often spending her days tending to her garden and watching the hummingbirds that frequented her yard. These moments brought her peace and contentment, reflecting her gentle and nurturing spirit.
A lover of simple pleasures, MaryAnn enjoyed sipping her morning coffee accompanied by Italian cookies, a routine that brought her comfort and joy. Her warmth and kindness extended to all who knew her, leaving a lasting impression on friends and family alike.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Jarmusz Cotton Funeral Home, located at 26 Maple Avenue, Victor, NY. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate MaryAnn’s life and share their memories.
MaryAnn Darling’s legacy is one of love, kindness, and devotion to her family. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was a woman who loved her family so much with allll her heart unconditionally. Loved her so much…..she was easy to love ..always had “open arms” for all.
