Howard J Kern was born July 4, 1949 and passed away October 21, 2024
He was the son of Robert and Ruth Kern.
He proudly served as a Marine during the Vietnam War as an Engineer Equipment Operator.
In 1972, He landed a job at Olin Chemical where he worked as a chemical engineer for 49 years
During the fall of 1978, he met the love of his life Bev. They were married July 20, 1979. Celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary this year.
He enjoyed old cars, trips to Mackinac Island, reading and spending time in Skaneateles.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly, daughter Gina (Neil), grandchildren TJ, Breeanna (Frankie), Kassandra and great children Derek, Eli, Alexis and Franklin. He is also survived by many other extended family members both near and far.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday October 29th 4-7 p.m. at Jarmusz Cotton Funeral Home (26 Maple Ave. Victor, NY). Howard’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday October 30th 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church (115 Maple Ave. Victor, NY). Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery (Victor, NY).
Enjoyed conversations with Howard at family gatherings over the years, sad to see him go, but he is free from his physical challenges. Condolences and God bless.

Worked with Howard for his last 20 years or so. He was always hard at work when I saw him but he always made time for a smile and some small talk. I’ll miss you Howard.
