Phyllis S. Dimitropoulos, 1933 – 2024
Loving mother
Phyllis S. Dimitropoulos passed away peacefully at her home on April 22, 2024 at the age of 90.
She is predeceased by her parents, Blanche and Paul Sleight; sister, Barbara (Eugene) Bucknam; husband, Perry Dimitropoulos; and special companion, Dick Bump.

Phyllis is survived by her loving son, Paul G. Dimitropoulos; stepson, Jeffery Bump; four wonderful nieces: Susan Pringle, Janet Manktelow, Ann Sambroski, Nancy Hovermale, and their families. Phyllis was also loved by her long-time neighbors, Margaret and Dr. Don Capuano, and their entire family, including Marca Capuano and her sons, Leo and Luke, who took loving care of her.
Phyllis loved her work of 40 years as the Director of Food Service and School Lunches at school districts including Williamson, Waverly, and for 30 years at Penfield Central.
She enjoyed traveling, long drives in the country, playing cards, board games, eating ice cream and chocolate, watching game shows, Westerns, and the Buffalo Bills, as well as bowling, reading, people watching, talking with friends, and feeding the ducks on Lake Ontario.
Phyllis was a devoted member of Faith Lutheran Church, and the Ladies Auxiliary VFW in Fairport, NY.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 15th at 11:00 AM at Faith Lutheran Church at 2576 Browncroft Blvd., Rochester, NY 14625
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Faith Lutheran Church in Penfield, NY.
I am blessed to have had the opportunity to have Phyllis in my life if only for a short time.
