Frances B. VanDerWalle

Frances was born on November 9,1934 in Bolivar NY.  She moved to Rochester in 1964 and began working at Woolworth five-and-dime store. Shortly after moving to Rochester, she met John and they were married on September 25, 1965.  Over the years, Fran worked as a retail manager at Life Uniform and Gemstone Jewelry. She always loved the energy of the Christmas season while she worked in retail. She loved to spend time with family, big family gatherings, and many family traditions. She loved to take pictures and was always ready to catch a memory that she would cherish.
Fran was predeceased by her parents; Gertrude and Anson Knapp, her sister Evelyn Wallace, niece Alice Bracken and her Daughter; Deb Scharbach.
Fran is survived by her husband of 57 years, John VanDerWalle; three children, David (Gabrielle) VanDerWalle, Cheryl (Casey) Gillis, and Jeffrey (Susan) Eckert, ten grandchildren; Holly (Mike) Ferrari, Heather (Grant) Shoemaker, Hayley (Josh) Cromp, Jenny (Tim) Malcolm, Megan Eckert (Will Cross), Bodeen, Shawna, and Sharee Matheson, Jeff and Luke Eckert, fifteen great-grandchildren; Louis and Emma Ferrari, Jennifer and Cody Maslyn, Ayden Bray, Riley and Kayla Shoemaker, Ty and Rowan Cromp, Lily and Logan Cross, Noah and Caleb Matheson, Bobbi Conroy Matheson, Emilia Dupre Matheson, and Jordan and Cruiz Eckert.

Calling hours will be Thursday December 29th 3-5 p.m. at Jarmusz Cotton Funeral Home (26 Maple Ave. Victor, NY). Interment will be private.
