Warren A. Stam August 23rd 1958 – September 12th 2022
Warren A. Stam (Scooter), age 64, of Victor, passed away on September 12th, 2022, after an 8-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
Warren is survived by his loving wife Elaine and his dog Loofah; his sons Timothy [Winnie] Stam and Joseph [Chelsey] Stam, and his wonderful grandson Morgan Stam; His loving mother Gayle Stam; his brother Steven [Kris] Stam; his nephew Jason [Desiree] Stam with great nieces Teagan and Mila; his niece Jessica [Steven] Mosacco with great nephews Mason and Maxon; his baby sister Taimi [Michael] Ardieta with nephew “Mr. A” Anson; and a host of deeply saddened aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who were like family.
Warren worked as an Operations Technician at WHEC Channel 10 for over 30 years. He had a passion for music and owned his own DJ business with his best friend and partner, James Gillen. Jam-N-Stam DJ Service was well-respected throughout the community and all across western New York State. He spent much of his media career also working on-air at various radio stations across the years and loved spinning his favorite songs of the 70s as the DJ at Taylor’s Night Club.
Warren never met a stranger, since he’d make fast friends of anyone he met, being the kind of person who just drew people in. He loved spending time in the summer sun, sharing stories of his travels, cruising in his 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible that he worked hard to restore, and boating in the Finger Lakes.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Warren’s favorite charities, the MS Society, Special Olympics, and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

Warren was my best friend since approx. 1973 and my business partner co-owner since 1987 in our JAM-N-STAM Mobile DJ Service. It’s going to hit me harder in the time that follows, as right now, it’s hard for me to understand that he’s passed. All too soon. He’s left a lot of great family and friends to have many great memories to cherish. My condolences to everyone! He’ll be very missed by all and not forgotten. You’ve earned your heavenly wings – fly high Warren! May the show go on wherever you are!
My prayers and condolences go out to friends and family.
Warren was a great person to be around.
He will be greatly missed.
