Robert L. Weissinger (Bob)
September 7, 1945 – June 3, 2022
Canandaigua, NY
Bob Weissinger of Canandaigua, NY passed away peacefully at home on June 3rd surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born to Henry and Leona Weissinger in Rochester, NY. He grew up in Rochester and spent the last 25 years in Canandaigua. He attended John Marshall High School, where he met the love of his life, Pat. He received his Masters in Education from Geneseo College, and went on to become a Training Specialist at Federal Express. He started two driving schools, and was dedicated to improving safety and awareness on the road.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Pat Weissinger, his two children Sarah (Ed), Rob (Lori), grandchildren Alyssa, Morgan, Rylan, Raegan and great granddaughter Evelyn. Bob is also survived by brothers Mike, Jerry, and sister Cindy. Predeceased by his parents, and brothers George, Hank, and Doug.
Bob dedicated his life to making others happy. Always quick with a smile and a joke. To know him was to know his sense of humor, and desire to make others laugh. He enjoyed watching his children, grandchildren, and great grandchild blossom and grow. He was never shy with love, encouragement, and support for others.
Bob was a wonderful role model, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, teacher and friend. Loved and appreciated by many, he will be sadly missed.
I went to elementary and high school with Bob, he was such a nice guy. We played soccer and basketball at JMHS (on occasion we played euchre on the bench, while gathering splinters 🙂
Bob is fondly remembered as a good friend, especially at Brockport State. I recall his acumen at the pool table and his friendly sense of humor. All the best to you and family.
Is this Bob Weissinger who once worked for City of Rochester Recreation Bureau? Last I knew, lived in ‘White City’ in Irondequoit?
This certainly sounds like the Bob I knew and spent many hours discussing life. Sorry that the currents of life moved us apart.
Fond memories and sincere wishes to Pat and family.

Sorry for the incredibly late response Richard, but yes, my dad did work at the rec center off of driving park
I was bob’s neighbor on Washington st in summmerville on the 1980’s. Bob & pat were the best neighbors, always there for me for anything. He was a kind & gentle soul with an eternal smile!!
We had many a gathering in our backyards with a lot of laughs! He was a great guy!
