James P. Wheat passed away on February 4, 2022, after a brave battle with cancer. Jim is survived by his wife of 33 years, Esther, sisters Sharon Petersen and Stephanie Garland, brother Roger (Donna) Wheat, sons Tim (Michelle) Wheat, Jeremy Wheat, Richard Hallifax, daughters Vickie (Derek) Messner and Regina Stafford, his grandchildren Michael, Tyler, Justin, Abigail and Amelia, and several beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Jim was a kind person who would always make sure that his family and friends were taken care of. He was a beloved husband and father who loved spending time with his grandkids.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all the wonderful ladies at the House of John for the amazing care they provided for Jim in the last weeks of his life. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the House of John in Clifton Springs, NY (http://www.houseofjohn.org/donate.html) in his name.
