The world has lost a great wife, mother, nana, aunt and friend.
Sharon A. Cardinale of Honeoye, passed away peacefully on Feb 23, 2022 at home with family at her side at age 77. Predeceased by her parents Clarence and Evelyn Ryan, sisters Sandy, Sheila and Colleen, and granddaughter, Juliana Jean. She is survived by her husband Chuck (Charles), daughter, Christine (Michael LaMonica); son, Mark Cardinale; grandchildren Andrew, Daniel, Molly and Mason; numerous nieces and nephews.
Sharon married Chuck Cardinale on May 31, 1975 in Rochester New York and was a devoted wife for 47 years. Together they raised two wonderful children and are the proud grandparents of 5 grandchildren. Sharon had a love for gardening, cooking, selling real estate and supporting veterans. A real people person, she was kind and generous and had that fiery redheaded Irish in her, fun to be around. For these reasons and more she will be dearly missed.
Sharon’s family expresses their gratitude to the Wilmot Cancer Institute, including Dr.Chunkit Fung, Susan Sargent, NP and the entire oncology team for their guidance and support during a difficult journey.
In keeping with Sharon’s wishes there will be no formal funeral service. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Until then Sharon always wanted her loved ones to remember when one door closes be hopeful another will open, and if you get the choice to sit it out or dance, she hopes you dance.
