Randy and I were both stationed in the 7th Fleet Band. Wonderful Musician and Shipmate. So sorry to hear the news, as he was the same age as me. RIP Randy. Love, Robert O. “Boomer” Grindle MUC USN (Ret).
Randy and I were assigned to the 7th Fleet Band. He was a wonderful Trombone instrumentalist and Shipmate. So sorry about his lost. Sincerely, MUC Robert O. “Boomer” Grindle USN (Ret.)
This was a humble, gentle, kind and generous soul.
An amazing example of what kind of person we should be. I watched his immense patience with dealing with our unruly choir, totally nonplussed. His kind gentle soul. The way he treated others with dignity and respect. Always willing to lend a helping hand. Never complaining. Man of few words so when he spoke people really listened. And I so loved getting to witness the love and affection that freely flowed between Randy and Diane. Sooo heartwarming ❤️ He will be sorely missed .
We’ll miss you brother. Ill see you to play for you soon.
