Camilla Jaye Engert, 65, of Victor, NY, went home to be with her Lord Jesus on October 30, 2021 after battling breast cancer.
Cam was born on June 3, 1956 to Elizabeth Denniston and Merlyn “Scotty” Burdick in Denver, CO. She married Richard Engert in 1974, and she had three sons, Eric, Barry, and Andy.
Cam faithfully ministered to others as a pastor’s wife for the majority of her life. She had a passion for teaching children about Jesus and the Bible, beginning with her own kids and going on to impact the lives of hundreds of children through leading countless Vacation Bible Schools, Christian Youth Crusaders meetings, and Sunday School classes in multiple churches throughout her lifetime. She loved music ministry, using her beautiful voice and musical talents singing countless songs and directing choirs. Cam also had exceptional organizational and administrative gifts with which she blessed multiple employers.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Richard; her son, Eric; daughter-in-law, Tammy; grandchildren, Ethan and Mia; son, Barry; daughter-in-law, Cat; grandchildren, Carlene and Logan; son, Andy; daughter-in-law, Christine; grandchildren, Nicholas, Luke and Austin; and sisters, Shannon Faye Sharp, Mindy Gaye Wedel, Dana Kaye Dell and Darla Maye Hook. She will be greatly missed by family, friends, and co-workers.
Calling hours will be held 6 to 8pm on Friday, November 5 at Jarmusz Cotton Funeral Home, 26 Maple Ave, Victor, NY. A celebration service will be held at Crosswinds Wesleyan Church, 3350 Middle Cheshire Rd, Canandaigua, NY at 11am on Saturday, November 6. Casual attire suggested. Donations can be made to Crosswinds Wesleyan Church.

Cam was my counselor when I was in the third grade.. She was responsible for leading me to accept Christ as my savior. I will be eternally grateful for all that she did and was.
