Francis T. “Butch” Marks passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Strong Memorial Hospital at the age of 73.
Butch was born on May 19, 1946 in Mies, Czechoslovakia to Adolfine Steinbrenner and Roy E. Marks. He came to the United States with his mother in 1947. He worked at Xerox for 40 years driving forklift and tractor trailers. He married his loving wife, Patricia Keller on September 6, 1969 and had two daughters, Kristina and Stacey.
He loved riding his motorcycle, rain or shine, warm or cold. He was a country music fan who loved to listen to the station WBEE. He was a strong, caring and compassionate man who always went out of his way, above and beyond, to help his family and friends. We will miss his smile, laugh and generous heart.
Butch was predeceased by his parents Roy and Adolfine, father-in-law Adolph J. Keller, foster parents Frank and Dorothy Gerber, foster brother and sister-in-law Dick and Jean Gerber and foster brother-in- law Stan Jensen. He is survived by his wife Patricia, daughters Kristina “Tina” Marks Smith and Stacey Marks, granddaughters Skylar, Karen and Aubree and great grandchildren Wyatt and Vera. His mother-in- law Ruth R. (Keller) Jones, sister Arietta “Sue” Weaver, brothers and sisters-in-law, David (Amelia) Keller, Debra (Randolph) Kingsley, Jeffrey (Pam) Keller, Steven (René) Keller, Michael (Cheryl) Keller, Joseph (Kristie) Keller, Richard (Candi) Keller, his foster brother and sisters, Shirley (Joe) VanParys, Joyce Jensen, Larry (Jane) Gerber, Linda (Art) Cinanni-Holtz, Sandy (Don) King and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
At Butch’s request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Arthritis Foundation or American Lung Association.
